Non-SKYACTIV® Mazda 5W-30 Full Synthetic Engine Oil has a higher viscosity compared to 0W-20 synthetic oils. However, there’s not much difference between the two because both 0W and 5W is the lower the number in SAE terminology. Even though 5W-30 oils are not as thinner as 0W-20 oils, both are going to run at similar operating temperatures due when the engine starts to warm up.
